‘Grow a Mo, Show a Mo’

Help change the face of men’s health with Jeep®

Men everywhere are putting down the razor to help change the face of men’s health. The month of November, also known as Movember, is an annual event that aims to increase early cancer detection, diagnosis and treatments, and ultimately reduce the number of preventable deaths.

The hairy tale dates back to 2003 when two mates in Australia tried to bring back the moustache. 30 men were willing to take up the challenge. From there it began to grow, (no pun intended), and eventually became the international movement we celebrate today.

Jeep® is joining the Movember Foundation for this hair-raising movement by encouraging fans, followers and owners to ‘grow a mo, show a mo.’

Mike Manley, head of Jeep® brand and Ram brand, FCA – Global, announces Jeep brand alliance with the Movember Foundation in support of men’s health.

“We’re encouraging our fans, followers and owners across the globe to ‘Grow a Mo, Show a Mo’ by purchasing one of our Jeep ‘Stache by Carstache accessories to affix to their vehicle,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand and Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “We’re also giving consumers the opportunity to help raise funds and awareness by posting photos with their ‘stache on Twitter and Instagram, in addition to a social contest that will give one lucky fan the chance to win a new 2016 Jeep vehicle.” 

To enter, fans must post a photo on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #JeepStacheContest from now until Wednesday, November 30. Submissions will be evaluated on creativity, originality and quality of submission, as well as how the photos fit the Movember theme.

Every time you tweet, post or share, the Jeep brand will donate $1 to the Movember Foundation (up to $15,000)

If you are follically-challenged and can’t grow a mo, there’s no need to worry. You can also take the Move Challenge or host an event throughout the month of November to benefit the cause.

The Movember Foundation is one of the world’s largest global charities for men’s health, investing in programs to address prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity.

One in seven men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. (Symbolically, the prominent seven-slotted Jeep Wrangler grille design is used to represent the statistic, with one of the seven painted white).
